Ralph Strangis is a former hockey broadcaster and seven-time Emmy Award winner, best known for his work with the Dallas Stars of the NHL. He began his media career in 1977 and served as the Stars' play-by-play announcer from 1995 to 2015, calling over 2,200 games. Strangis has also worked as a producer, writer, and narrator for documentaries and educational projects. In addition, he has ventured into acting, notably portraying Otto Frank in Diary of Anne Frank, and has directed theater productions. Strangis has written for Dallas Morning News and NHL.com, and published his first novel, Saving Lenny Franks, in 2018. He currently resides in the Coachella Valley, California.
