Jean-Neil Guay is a retired Canadian wrestler, best known by his ring name The Hangman (Le Bourreau). He started his career in Montreal and Japan in the 1970s, and also worked in territories like Los Angeles, Calgary, Memphis, Minnesota, and WWF. In WWF, he was managed by Freddie Blassie and had feuds with stars like Bob Backlund and Andre the Giant. After leaving WWF, he became a major star in Lutte Internationale in Montreal until his retirement in 1987. In 1991, he suffered an accident that left him with a broken neck. He appeared in the documentary Mad Dog and the Butcher in 2019.
