Christopher Potter is an animation supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). Potter's earlier credits include animation work on Paddington (2014), Dracula Untold (2014), The Jungle Book (2016), and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016). He served as senior animator on Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) and as lead animator on The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017). His animation contributions also extend to Peter Rabbit (2018), Christopher Robin (2018), Aquaman (2018), and the television anthology series Love, Death & Robots (2019), for which he animated one episode. As his responsibilities expanded, Potter took on lead animator roles for The Lion King (2019), The One and Only Ivan (2020), and Clifford the Big Red Dog (2021). He was the lead animator on Jurassic World: Dominion (2022) and the animation supervisor at MPC on Disenchanted (2022). At ILM, Potter has served as animation supervisor on high-profile productions including The Creator (2023) and the season 2 finale of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022). He also acted as visual effects department supervisor at ILM on Gladiator II (2024). He also serves as an animation supervisor at ILM on Avengers: Doomsday. Potter's work on The Creator was nominated for the 2024 VES Award for Outstanding Virtual Cinematography in a CG Project, shared with Roel Coucke, Amanda Johnstone-Batt, and Jeremy Bloch.
